How ‘Feeling Good’ Became My Secret to Loving My Body Again

Your energy—how you move through the world, how you show up in your relationships, and how you treat yourself—is directly impacted by how connected you are to yourself and your body. When you shift your focus from external appearances to internal sensations, you reclaim your feminine power.

The feminine thrives in being-ness—in savoring, feeling, and embodying your essence. The masculine energy is all about doing and achieving, but the feminine is about how you do it. It’s the texture, flavor, and unique quality of your presence.

A Pivotal Moment in My Journey

In 2014, I found myself at a crossroads. I was torn between two paths: moving to New York City to continue to pursue a modeling career or staying in California to embark on a yoga teacher training.

On the surface, modeling seemed glamorous, but it came with a price. My focus was entirely on how my body looked—being thinner, weighing less, obsessing over measurements, tracking every calorie, and over-exercising. It was a toxic cycle of disconnection from my body.

Yoga, on the other hand, offered me something deeper: a chance to reconnect with myself, heal my relationship with food and movement, and embrace my cyclical, feminine nature.

During a yoga class, as I gazed into my own eyes in the mirror, the words “It’s not about how it looks – it’s about how it feels” came to me as if by God. I knew in that moment which path to choose.

I chose healing.
I chose to reclaim my aliveness.
I chose depth over surface-level beauty standards.

And I’ve never looked back.
